ruVPN Terms of Service
1. General provisions
1.1. This document is ruVPN's public offer to enter into a paid service agreement under the terms below.
1.2. Payment constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms. After payment, the user becomes the customer for the selected paid period.
1.3. The current Terms are published at ruvpn.io and apply to new payments from the date of publication.
2. Definitions
2.1. The ruVPN Service is a software and hardware system that provides a VPN connection and a personal connection-management panel.
2.2. Service means providing access to ruVPN under the selected plan.
2.3. Plan means the service parameters, including price, term, speed, connection limit, available protocols, and locations.
2.4. Configuration means a file, link, QR code, or other set of parameters required to connect a user's device.
3. Scope of the agreement
3.1. ruVPN provides VPN access under the selected plan; the user pays for and uses the service under these Terms.
3.2. The service is technical in nature and is provided for connection security, privacy, and safer online use.
3.3. ruVPN does not control content accessed through the connection and is not responsible for the user's online actions.
4. Connection and service management
4.1. After successful payment, the user receives a control-panel link at the provided email address.
4.2. The control panel lets users create and delete connections, choose available protocols and locations, retrieve configurations, renew a subscription, and upgrade to a more expensive plan by paying the calculated difference.
4.3. One connection normally corresponds to one device or separate peer. The plan determines the connection limit.
4.4. The user is responsible for safeguarding the control-panel link and connection configurations.
5. Pricing, payment, and renewal
5.1. The service price is determined by the plans published at ruvpn.io when payment is made.
5.2. Payment is made once for the selected period using the methods shown at checkout, including card and cryptocurrency payments when available.
5.3. The user's payment obligation is fulfilled once the payment provider confirms payment and the billing system creates or renews the service.
5.4. Renewals use calendar months or one year when an annual period is available for the selected plan. There are no automatic recurring charges without user action.
5.5. VPN access is blocked when the paid period ends. The user may renew the service in the control panel within 14 calendar days after expiration.
5.6. During the 14-day period, configurations are retained in a disabled state. If renewal payment is not confirmed before that period ends, configurations are deleted from VPN servers; service, order, and transaction history may remain in billing for accounting, security, and dispute resolution.
5.7. The control panel only permits upgrades to a more expensive plan. The additional charge is calculated for the remaining subscription term.
6. Evaluation period and refunds
6.1. A user trying the service for the first time may contact support and request a refund within 3 calendar days of payment if the service is unsuitable.
6.2. A refund is issued through the original payment method when technically possible and permitted by the payment provider.
6.3. Refunds are not available after 3 calendar days.
6.4. If the user had previously used ruVPN without reporting deficiencies, the 3-day refund rule does not apply. Any refund is then considered individually at the provider's discretion.
6.5. The right to request a refund within 3 calendar days does not apply to confirmed violations of the Acceptable Use Policy.
6.6. A refund takes effect after confirmation by the payment service. Once confirmed, access ends and active configurations are removed from VPN servers; transaction history is retained for accounting and dispute resolution.
6.7. Refunds are not issued for services paid for with cryptocurrency.
7. Acceptable Use Policy
7.1. Users must act in good faith, comply with these Terms, not share configurations beyond their plan limits, and not threaten ruVPN infrastructure.
7.2. The service may not be used for peer-to-peer (P2P) data exchange, including BitTorrent or other torrent protocols, or to download, seed, or distribute files through torrent clients or magnet links.
7.3. The service may not be used for spam, network scanning, credential attacks, DoS or DDoS attacks, unauthorized access attempts, malware distribution, phishing, fraud, or other actions that may harm infrastructure, services, or their users.
7.4. If prohibited use is suspected, ruVPN may suspend the service without prior notice while investigating. Access may remain blocked until the review is complete.
7.5. If a violation is confirmed, ruVPN may terminate the service and delete active configurations. Unused time is not transferred and the service fee is not refunded. Access is restored if the violation is not confirmed.
8. Liability and availability
8.1. ruVPN makes reasonable efforts to provide a stable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted access, identical speeds on every network, or the absence of restrictions imposed by carriers, providers, or third parties.
8.2. ruVPN's aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for the current service period.
8.3. Users are responsible for their actions and for complying with the rules of resources they access.
9. Changes to the Terms
9.1. ruVPN may change plans, technical parameters, available protocols, and these Terms. Changes do not reduce an already paid period unless required for security, technical necessity, or infrastructure operation.
9.2. A new revision takes effect when published at ruvpn.io.
